Relocated from Ohio to Marco Island in 1969 when the island was in its infancy. He began his real

estate career as an employee of the Deltona Corp. (developer of modern Marco Island), and within

a few years began a two-year broker apprenticeship. Upon receiving his Florida broker’s license in

1973 he founded Flagship Real Estate Corp., one of Marco Island’s leading real estate firms.

Marv’s wife Jayne (hailing from Frankfort, Indiana), now retired, was instrumental in the success of

Flagship; and today 3 of their 4 children are licensed real estate brokers, residing and practicing [...]

Collier County.

Over Marv’s many years in the real estate profession, he has designed and developed commercial

property, designed houses, renovated houses and as an instructor, contributed to the education of

others entering in the real estate field. Once considered as one of the few experts in Florida, in the

Resort Property Management field, he has written legislation and served in an advisory position to

the Governor of Florida.

As President Flagship Homes, Inc. Marv designed 3 model home centers and was responsible for

building homes for over 175 families in the Marco Island and Naples area. In late 2015, Marv was

approached by Phil Wood of John R Wood Properties about merging Flagship with the Wood

organization; shortly after their meeting, Marv and the Flagship team joined the John R. Wood

team.
